Lesson Stages
Activities
Assessment
Time
1. Hook
Give a short introductory story of making Cold Fruit Soup whereby to require liquids are: - 4 cups cranberry juice, 3 cups white grape juice and 8 cups water. Solids are:- 2 cups sugar and 1 cup raspberry jam
Some oral responses about soup making from the audience
2 minutes
Warm - up
Distribute counters of different colors and let them be arranged to form a ratio that represents the same relationship as another ratio; e.g., 2:4 is an equivalent ratio to 1:2
Performing the task under guidance through observation.
4 minutes
2. Presentation
Construct right-angled triangles and place squares giving relationship to the sides.

5 minutes
New Content
Construct a three colored  table ( Red, Blue, Black) to find the ratio with different ways
They will find ratio by switching different colors and note down on notebooks
2 minutes
3. Practice and Production
Will ask about more examples of ratio

They will participate actively
1 minute
4. Conclusion
 Exit slips
Hand in slips
1 minute
5. Remarks

Comments

  1. Some of the lesson plan is rather vague, James. You and Paramvir can improve your teaching by working on being more detailed and explicit in what you are planning to do (and have students do).
